The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established in 1983 In various streams like Mechanical , Mechanical and sandwich , Electronics and telecommunication , Computer Science and Engineering , Civil, Along with unique Polymer , Petrochemical Applied Science and Humanities engineering branches at Maharashtra Institute of technology. Very first institution in MIT Group Of Institutions one of its kind are introduced at our Kothrud campus . Later on Polytechnic programs are offered to the 10th and 12th passed students. Today we are running them in two shifts i.e. First shift and second shift in civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics and Tele- communications, and computer engineering. In the history of MAEER's trust second engineering college was introduced at pilgrimage Alandi in the year 1998 at our Alandi campus. The most demanding, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Science, Electronics and telecommunication, Branches are introduced with the name at Maharashtra Academy of Engineering Alandi. This Maharashtra Academy of Alandi is known for its unique ROBOCON event all over the world in association with D.D. Sahyadri. With the rapid demand of engineering education 3rd MIT College of Engineering is introduced at kothrud campus. Also at our one of the premium campus at Raj Baugh, Loni Kalbhor Marine Engineering is introduced with the name Maharashtra Academy of Navel Engineering & Training.
Objective is to provide outstanding engineering education inspire the students not only in the education but nurture them for value based education system. The mission of the Faculty is to graduate morally conscious and highly competent engineers, conduct internationally recognized research, and provide quality professional and community services. The Faculty of Engineering is having more than 5000 students and over 600 academic, administrative and technical staff. The Faculty of Engineering also offers postgraduate programs –– with specialization in most of the premium branches like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication and that too many other branches with subject specialization. Research programs leading to PhD are also offered by all the departments. Vishwashanti Sangeet Kala Academy is a very unique academy not just in its course content but also in its design. As a tribute to the Seven Musical Notes, VSKA consists of seven domed musical halls arranged in a circular pattern. Each domed chamber represents a musical note: 'Sa' or Shadja, 'Re' or Rikhabh, 'Ga' or Gandhar, 'Ma' or Madhyam, 'Pa' or Pancham, ' Dha' or Dhaivat and 'Ni' or Nishad. The confluence of these seven notes is the 'Anahat Naad' or 'Naad Brahma', which is represented by the central domed musical hall.
